Delighted to have been awarded another TWO Awards of Excellence from the International Print Competition at WPPI Convention, Las Vegas! A big thank you to Jenny & Michael and Sam & Mike for helping in making these photographs happen.
Styles of Photography available in the wedding photography market:-
Standard – Lots of group pictures and straight forward often unflattering Bride & Groom pictures.
Classical – carefully arranged formal pictures making everyone look their best before the picture is taken. You and you guests may need patience.
Reportage – capture the action without interfering with the couples day (often now called ‘Documentary’ as Reportage sometimes has a poor reputation). When we see great examples of ‘Documentary’ wedding photography it is often because the couple have been coached before the day in what is expected!
Lifestyle – lots of Photoshop to mess up the colours and give the pictures a ‘modern’ look. Couples in natural (not always flattering) poses.
We like to think of our Wedding Photography as contemporary Story telling. We are happy to capture real action if it looks good but we are also happy to encourage ‘moments’ to happen! Family groups and Classical pictures are usually required but do not have to take the whole day and we work in a fairly informal way. By photographing our couples at some point during their Engagement they are generally more relaxed on the big day and understand how we would like them to stand to make them look their best. Why not contact us and see what a whole wedding looks like?
We were extremely delighted this weekend to take a Booking for 2014! It is always pleasing to receive an early Booking.
It was a dry, bright day when we arrived at Fennes for the Wedding of Faye and Mitch. Preparations were underway and running smoothly, giving us sufficient time to photograph Faye in a relaxed atmosphere. Following the Civil Ceremony and after the everybody photograph, Faye and Mitch socialised with their Guests during the Drinks Reception. As it was chilly outside Faye and Mitch requested their family group pictures to be taken in the House. The beauty of having Fennes is that there is the opportunity to use the different rooms for photographs which adds variety to the pictures. Not to be missed though, was a walk to the Bridge for some portraits of Faye and Mitch later on. After the Wedding Breakfast we captured some lovely images of Guests whilst the Speeches were taking place. Just before the First Dance we took a couple of night shots of Faye and Mitch before leaving a little while after the First Dance.

Jenny and Richard chose the beautiful Leez Priory for their Wedding on a pleasant Winter’s day. Jenny, her Bridesmaids, and Parents were getting ready in the main house, where we took their pictures, before getting a few photographs of Richard and his Attendants in the grounds of Leez Priory. The Civil Ceremony was held in the Great Hall and this was followed by a Drinks reception downstairs. After everyone had socialised for a little while we all went outside for a few requested photographs. The expressions of the Bridal Party during the informal fun pictures will be etched in all our memories, due to David not looking where he was going and tripping over – but like a true professional he got the shot! Not to be missed was the late afternoon sun and for a few minutes we took Jenny and Richard for a short walk around the Grounds of Leez Priory. The Wedding Breakfast and Speeches followed before the Evening Guests arrived. Our day finished after Jenny and Richard’s First Dance and a couple of pictures by the illuminated Tower and in front of Leez Priory.
