What a great fun day today photographing babies at Freeport in conjunction with Marks & Spencer and raising funds for Farleigh Hospice. We descided to do a session and a print for just £5!! All money we donated to Farleigh, £125 in total!! Thanks to all the Mums, Dads and Grans who entered their little ones, two of whom are going to win some great prizes next Tuesday when the competition is judged at M&S Freeport. We have some really nice pictures so judging is going to be difficult!
After heavy rain in the morning of Louise & Kieran’s Wedding Day, we were wondering what the weather was going to be like for the rest of the day! Although the rain had stopped, unfortunately the garden was rather wet when we wanted to do take Louise’s getting ready pictures, which was a shame, as Louise’s Dad had put so much effort into getting it to look nice. Despite that we got some really nice shots of Louise inside the house on the stairs. Following the Civil Ceremony at Smeetham Hall Barn at Bulmer, the sun was shining and it was very warm, which was good as Louise and Kieran had booked Matt Benecci Ice Cream Company, which went down a treat! Following a few group pictures we were able to take the Bride and Groom, as well as the Bridal Party, for some informal pictures around the lovely grounds of Smeetham Hall Barn. Our day concluded with a few pictures of Louise and Kieran in the early evening.

We are delighted to be photographing babies in aid of Farleigh Hospice. Bring your baby to be photographed and entered into the Competition for just £5 and you will receive a 7″x5″ print. There are some great prizes and all proceeds are going to Farleigh Hospice. Our stand will be outside the Marks and Spencers Outlet Store, Freeport, Braintree, Essex from 11am-4pm on Friday 27 August. There will also be Face Painting. We look forward to seeing you – no appointment necessary.
Here is a great quote from one of our recent Brides:-
“we were at a wedding on Sun and the photographer was rubbish! He had on jeans and a t shirt and really wasn’t giving any direction. All day we were saying David wouldn’t be doing this! Thanks again to you and Sandra x”
Our longest trip so far this year was to Dalhousie Castle, Edinburgh, Scotland, for the Wedding of Marie and Matt. The couple decided to use us, as we are local to them, to meet and discuss their plans, rather than booking a Photographer nearer the Venue. This worked really well for their big day. Dalhousie Castle is a great Venue for Weddings, with friendly staff, wonderful food, together with numerous photographic opportunities. Marie and Matt’s timings for the day allowed for some lovely relaxed informal pictures and together with the beautiful weather, it was perfect for us to do our job. Our day finished with a couple of night shots of Marie and Matt with the Castle illuminated in the background.
We have had the opportunity of meeting Beccs and Pete at Pete’s sister’s Wedding a few years ago, as well as for portrait photographs and Engagement pictures in the meantime. It was a busy but fun morning when David and I arrived at Crest Lodge, Spain’s Hall, Finchingfield, Essex, especially as there were eight Bridesmaids as well as the Bride getting ready! It was lovely to see Katie and Elisha again as we had previously photographed their Weddings. Everybody was ready on time enabling us to take some lovely pictures before setting off for the Church. St. Andrew’s Church, Barnston, was the Church that Bex and Pete wanted to be married in. Bex and Pete were keen to do some pictures after the Church service in the Cornfield opposite the Church, which we did ,and achieved some lovely shots on a beautiful afternoon. On our return to Spains Hall the Guests enjoyed drinks in the Gardens. We photographed the Bride and Groom for a short time, whilst the Guests were being seated for the Wedding Breakfast. Later Bex and Pete wanted some evening pictures around Spains Hall and this resulted in some sunset pictures. A lovely end to the day.
Following their recent Wedding at The Ritz Hotel, London, Victoria and Alan held a Reception at Stock Brook Manor, Billericay, which we were delighted to photograph. It was a pleasure to meet Victoria, Alan and their families again. Victoria and Ian were eager to continue the black and white theme of their Wedding with being photographed on the Chess Board in the sunken Garden at Stock Brook. A sunset picture ended a most enjoyable evening.
